Geb is the earth-god and husband-brother of Nut, the sky-goddess. As father to Ausar, Set, Aset, Nebet-Het, and Heru (the Elder), he is considered the erpa, the title for the hereditary chief of gods). One of the titles for the pharaoh’s throne is “The Throne of Geb”, and he shares a special connection with the ruler, granting the divine earthly right to rule over the land. It is through his benevolence that the harvest is made bountiful and the cattle remain plentiful.

Themes

The theme of the Geb World card is completion, as indicated by the cartouche representing the World with Geb’s sacred animals carved in the four corners. Geb represents fulfillment, culmination, and harmony with nature.
