Aten: The Sun

The sun disc Aten was originally considered an aspect of the creator god Amun-Ra. Under the rule of the pharaoh Akhenaten, the religions known as Atenism was founded, establishing Aten as the one and only true god. Aten is represented in hieroglyphs as the sun disc with warming rays that have extended hands on the ends.
