Ma’at: Temperance

Ma’at is the personification of truth, justice, balance, and harmony. Her job is to maintain the order and balance of the universe. In the Hall of Two Truths the traveler’s heart is weighed against the feather of Ma’at on the Grand Scales, to determine worthiness to receive eternal life.

The Ma’at Temperance card represents balance in its many forms, including peace, moderation, tranquility, purpose, and harmony.
