Viceroy Setau: The Scribe of Swords

Setau was the Viceroy of Kush during the second half of Ramesses II’s reign. A “graduate of the royal school”, he had already established himself with an impressive record of royal service. As Chief Scribe of the Vizier, it was his responsibility to assess the Pharaoh’s entire kingdom and accurately document it for the king.
