Setka the Scribe: The Scribe of Scarabs

The scribe Setka lived during the Fourth Dynasty in the house of his father, Pharaoh Djedefre. He was crown prince and eldest bodily son of the Pharaoh, Member of the Elite, High Lector Priest of His Father, Provost of the Morning House, and Head of the Palace. His duties included tending to the Pharaoh in spiritual matters, managing the royal household, and preparing to assume the mantle of Pharaoh when his father died.
