Vizier Penthu: Scribe of Scarabs

The nobleman Penthu was a powerful scribe in the Eighteenth Dynasty. Originally Chief Physician to Akenaten, he later served as Vizier under the pharaohs Tutankhamun and Ay II. Among his other duties, he was charged with managing the construction of temples and other projects designated by the pharaoh.
