Pharaoh Djoser: King of Ankhs

Djoser was the first pharaoh of the Third Dynasty, and founder of the Old Kingdom epoch. He is best known for his pyramid, the first step pyramid of ancient Egypt, designed by his advisor, the polymath Imhotep. He is also known for ending the 7-year famine which ravaged the kingdom by rebuilding the Temple of Khnum, thus reinstating the spiritual connection between his people and the life-giving powers of the Nile.
