Khnum: Ace of Ankhs

Khnum, the ram-headed god, is a life-giving cosmic deity, the god of the source of the Nile. It is his water pot that caused the Nile to flood, annually pouring its fertile black earth and silt on the banks, allowing the founding of the entire Kemetic civilization. His water enabled life, in all its forms, to exist. He is the creator of human bodies, which he shaped from the clay of the Nile at his potter’s wheel. He is also considered the deity who created the bodies of the other gods.
