Remet: Minor Arcana Cards
In the Kemetic Tarot the Remet cards are the Minor Arcana. These cards deal with phenomena of the mundane physical world of mortals. The Kemetic word “remet” translates to “the people” or “mortals”.
While the Remet cards use representations of mortals to represent the mundane world, there is one exception: the Ace cards are deities who represent the four base elements and act as a bridge between the physical world of Kemet and the supernatural.
Each of the four suits of the Remet have a color-coded interior border representing their base element.
The ranks of the Remet are the same as those found in Rider-Waite, with the exception of Knights and Pages which are represented by Kemetic Warriors and Scribes, respectively.
Scepters
The Kemetic Tarot suit of Scepters is equivalent to the Rider-Waite tarot suit of Wands. In ancient Kemet there was a wide number of ceremonial scepters, each representing a different aspect of authority and sovereignty of rulers and Neteru alike. You will notice that many different scepters are represented in the Kemetic Tarot. Associated with the element of Fire, Scepter cards have an inner border colored red.
Swords
Swords are the Kemetic Tarot equivalent of Rider-Waite Swords. Although many of the swords used by the pharaoh's armies are represented in the Kemetic Tarot, the khopesh sickle-sword is most closely associated with Kemetic warriors. Swords represent the element of Air and have a white inner border.
