uraeus

The uraeus, or iaret, is the stylized, upright form of a sacred cobra. The uraeus is a Kemetic symbol of divine authority and sovereignty. A sacred symbol, the uraeus represents the protector goddess Wadjet, who is closely associated with the Eye of Amun-Ra and the uraeus goddesses who also claim the title.
