ka

The ka, or vital essence, of a person is what determines the difference between a living and a dead person. At death, the ka left the body and traveled through the Duat to stand judgement in the Hall of Two Truths. After being judged worthy in the Great Hall, Ausar grants the traveler a sah, or spiritual body which is granted entry into the Aaru.
