Hapi Bull

Feel the power

The Hapi Bull (or Apis Bull to the Greeks) is a divine bull that serves as a sacred form of Ptah. The Hapi Bull was specially selected by the white markings on its white body, and a scarab-shaped lump under its tongue. The Hapi Bull was venerated for 25 years, after which it was ritually sacrificed and replaced with a new bull. NOTE: Not to be confused with the Neteru deity Hapi, the son of Heru and god of the Nile.
