Khepera: Ace of Scarabs

Khepera is a creation god, an aspect of Amun-Ra representing the rising sun. It is he who reached into the watery abyss of Nun and created the primordial mound upon which all subsequent reality was based. Khepera’s sacred scarab beetle was widely revered as a transformative creature that embodied the powers of resurrection, rebirth, and new beginnings.
