Kemet

Feel the power

Kemet is the original name given to modern-day country known as Egypt. “Kemet” means “black soil” or “fertile soil”, a reference to the rich black silt deposited on the land during the yearly Nile inundation and flood. The name “Egypt” derives from a word meaning “the temple of Ptah”, a reference to the creator-god Ptah’s temple in Memphis.
