Pharaoh Hatshepsut: Queen of Swords
Hatshepsut, whose name means “Foremost of Noble Ladies,” was the 5th pharaoh of the 18th Dynasty of Egypt. She was the second historically-confirmed female pharaoh. Her rise to power required combining the power of her bloodline, her education, and her understanding of religion. She has been called “the first great woman in history.” She was extremely successful, building grand architectural projects and established a far-reaching network of trade routes around the known world.
