Ramesses the Great (Ramesses II, known to the Greeks as Ozymandias) was a true warrior king. He led military campaigns throughout the Middle East and Africa. One of the longest-lived pharaohs, Ramesses the Great maintained peace, strengthened the kingdom’s borders, and built numerous grand monuments across the empire during his 66-year reign. There were entire generations of Kemetic people who never knew another pharaoh in their lifetimes.
